|03:40 pm - Preparing to say "Good-bye"|
Dominic is dying.
He has a tumor-like growth in his abdomen the size of a nectarine. He stopped eating last Friday, which was our first clue that something was wrong.
From this point on, his health will deteriorate. We don't want his last days on Earth to be ones of misery and pain, so later this week we'll take one last trip to the veterinarian's.
Current Mood: duh
I hate that last trip, but it's best when there is nothing more to be done. Enjoy your friend's last days.
Good bye is hard -- but you're doing a good thing for him. Enjoy your friend's last days...
Oh Dave, I'm so sorry. We're likely to be taking that trip with Tia this week as well. Her condition has worsened to include severe anemia and a platelet count of 17,000 (instead of a more normal 200,000); she ate nothing yesterday and today is too weak to stand and walk. I spent most of today sitting with her and feeding her water and treats, which is all she's interested to eat. Anyway, know that we'll be thinking of y'all with love.
So sorry to hear this. I won't forget the cat who did back-flips.
Such a handsome kitty, and very well loved.

I'm sorry. He was always friendly when I'd cat-sit...at least until I had to vacuum and he'd vanish into another dimension for the rest of the visit. My best to all of you.
Our condolences. Those are very good pictures of him.
